A Night To Remember...

I love this picture, so perfect.

At the inaugural ball last night the world witnessed the radiant presidential couple have their first dance to Beyonce's rendition of "At Last." Both looked stunning, with him and his bow tie and her so trendy asymmetrical Jason Wu dress. What a cute couple, they deserved that beautiful night.

I think white was a great choice for the both of them, it definitely was a classy, bi-partisan look, not tacky!

And the First Lady Wore....

Isabel Toledo designed the dress with matching dress coat for the first lady that she wore today for her husband, Barack Obama's inauguration. Yes she can! The outfit I think was beautiful and I am wearing my bright blue blazer today in spirit as well. What will she be tonight at the ball?

PRESIDENTIAL NEWS: Michelle Obama's Dress

The most exciting presidential inauguration ceremony in my lifetime is happening tomorrow- aren't you happy? The big questions are coming up.....what will be in his speech, who's at the inauguration balls, and most importantly, what will Michelle Obama be wearing?? Many designers submitted their sketches for the big day. Any predictions? I am posting my top picks, I noticed a lot of asymmetrical shoulders! I'll wear red white or blue tomorrow too!

One of my favorite sketches, from Elie Tahari,

Peter Som.

Karl Lagerfield

Love this illustration, by Zac Posen (above and below).

I love the idea of Micheal Kors doing the inauguration dress, he is the ultimate American designer.

FASHION REPORT: Golden Globes

I would say the biggest trend this year on the red carpet is asymmetry for sure! Oh let us count the different ways to do a one-shouldered
dress....Overall the color story was super muted, on trend for SP09, beiges, soft skintones, and Drew's pastel blue!

And the fashion winners are.....

Angelina wins first for me, even though she didn't take any awards home...her beauty is just undeniable and her look actually looks effortless, like she could have rolled out of a seashell or something. Two thumbs up!

Drew wins best supporting dress on the carpet- her look is really fun and she is probably the industry's sweetheart, and the only one who can get away with it!

The color, fit, and weight of this dress is beautiful, and I think rounds out the top three best dressed tonight!

Fucking hottie mega-star couples of the year awards go to....

The Pitts- the mega superstar couple supreme- her beauty looks effortless and its so funny to see how all the couples followed the same look- nude ladies with black suits!

Ash and Demi- again- these couples are just picturesque!

Young superstar couple on their way- really nice look for a young girl.

Honestly. Power couple- she is flawless!

Honorable Mentions...Great choice for a young fashionista, sophisticated and edgy! Lanvin.

Mega props to Seth, that's the cutie I've been waiting to shine through!

Red carpet worthy for sure.

Love the red, the cut, Reem Acra.

Classic beauty.

The canary yellow here is pretty and the necklace is gorgeous.

The blue against her skin and hair is what got this picture here.

Another one shoulder number....

Pretty, but maybe trying too hard....

Detroit Ruins

I found a website of the most beautiful pictures taken in abandoned buildings in Detroit, my home town, by a young girl photographer, Nicole Rork (http://www.detroitruins.net/). I am posting some of my favorites, although there are a lot....
I am so inspired by all of the colors and the complete decay of these historical places that have been abandoned. Detroit is a forgotten jewel.

So this is the new year.....

Happy New Year!
I've decided I will start blogging regularly, like I have been trying to start doing for a few months now..... this will be the beginning of a few changes in my life.

Here are some of my top resolutions of 2009.

1. Resist Temptation. The guy at the bodega knows about my sweet tooth. It's just embarrassing...

2. "I be up in the gym just working on my fitness..."
Start using the lifetime membership my mother has been paying for for years.

3. Blog more! Yay.
